von Essen Hotels, a private collection of luxury country house hotels located across the UK and France has announced their major expansion programme into the North of England. 

This group of unique and characterful country house properties sees the addition of Seaham Hall Hotel and The Serenity Spa, County Durham and The Samling in Windermere, Cumbria.

von Essen now has 27 properties throughout the UK including the Cliveden in Berkshire and The Royal Crescent in Bath.
